Summary:

~ Looks super natural and skin- like

~ Does not break me out or irritate my skin

~ Large range of shades

~ Long lasting

~ Does not transfer

How it react to my annoying skin?

This foundation did not have any oil controlling claims on the packaging. However, it surprisingly held up really really well on my super oily T- zone. After 11 hours of wear, the foundation on my nose did not wear off or broken down. It did look a little shiny, but it looks healthy and natural.

On my dry cheeks, the foundation did not emphasize any dry patches and flakes. At the end of the day, it looks super natural and healthy.

After wearing this foundation for two weeks, I am pleased to find that this foundation did not break me out or reacted badly with my skin, which is a big thumbs up!

How much is it?

I got this foundation in Sydney Sephora for 67 dollars

How is the longevity of this foundation?

Really good!  I’ve worn this foundation to the beach one time. It was a very sunny, windy and hot day. I started wearing it from 9am to 10pm (13 hours) and by the end of the day, my face looked fine. My blush, contour, and highlight were still on, my imperfections were nicely covered, and my skin looked glowy and healthy.

How is the coverage?

I think this is a medium to full coverage foundation. I normally use two pumps, because each pump doesn’t dispense a lot of product. I also use a beauty blender, which will absorb some product. Two pumps are the perfect amount for one layer of coverage of my entire face. The coverage of one layer is medium, but it is super buildable, and can easily achieve a full coverage look.

Nice packaging?

Yes!! I love the packaging and the fact that it comes with a pump!

Easily Blendable?

Yes!! I use a beauty blender to apply this foundation. Maybe beauty blender just makes every foundation blends nicely? But I think this foundation is really blendable and gives a flawless and photoshopped finish.

Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Review

Summary:

~ full coverage

~ feels very lightweight

~ a bit too cakey for my liking

~ not very oil-controlling

~ oxidises

~ transfers

How it react to my annoying skin?

This product claims to achieve a matte finish after application, which it did. I would wear this foundation in the morning from 8am till around 6pm (10 hours). This product did not control my oil secretion very well, especially on my super oily T- zone. I had to blot my face at least once throughout the day.

On my dry cheeks, where I had lots of dry patches and fine lines, this foundation, fortunately, did not emphasise any of those.

My skin is also very sensitive, but this product did not break me out.

I did notice, however, this foundation oxidises throughout the day. I won’t mind if it oxidised one or two shades darker, but this somehow turns orange-ish and brown- ish. Maybe it’s just my skin?? I don’t know haha!

How much is it?

I bought this foundation in Sydney Sephora, which cost 79 dollars.

How is the longevity of this foundation?

This foundation claims to wear to 24 hours. I don’t think this foundation will last that long! The longest time I’ve worn this foundation was close to 12 hours. At the end of the day, my face looked dirty, messy, and just not cute at all.

Transfer proof?

No, this foundation is not transferred proof. When I blotted my face in the middle of the day, I realised some foundation came off. I had to be super cautious throughout the day because I didn’t want to touch my face and leave marks on it. I tried using a long wearing setting spray, but it was still transferring onto everything throughout the day.

How is the coverage?

This foundation gives a super full coverage. However, it is soooo full that it feels like a mask on the face. It did not look natural at all! So if you are into the natural and dewy look, this foundation is definitely not for you.

Nice Packaging?

Yes, the packaging is beautiful. It comes with a wand/ dropper thingy

Easily Bendable?

No. Compare to other foundations I’ve owned, this foundation is one of the hardest to blend. It sets really fast on the skin, so I had to work quickly, or else there would be a random spot of pigment on the skin.

Will I repurchase this foundation?

No, I will not. The foundation did not perform its job well, and it was not worth the price.

Like always, thanks for reading!!  ❤

L’oreal Infallible 24Hr- Matte foundation Review

Summary:

~ medium to full buildable coverage

~ lightweight

~ long wearing

~ does not emphasise fine lines or dry patches

~ reasonable price

How it react to my annoying skin?

This product claims that it “resist sweat, stress, heat, and humidity with no shine”, and I would say this claim is valid. I used to wear this foundation on a daily basis to Uni (from 8am to 7pm). Shine started peaking through from my nose around 5 hours mark. But it wasn’t much of a big problem because overall my skin still looks healthy with a bit of glow. By the 8 hours mark, I need to start blotting my face. This is very normal to me because I have a super oily nose and forehead.

On my dry cheeks, this foundation did not emphasise my dry patches and fine lines under my eyes. It kept my cheeks looking clean and fresh for the whole day.

This product breaks me out?

This product did not break me out on the first few uses. However, I did notice after quite a while that my skin was not as great as before. What I mean by that was the fact that I would get these random breakouts and spots here and there. At first, I thought it was something else that caused this issue. But then I started reading reviews online and asking my friends who also used this foundation, I realised that I was not the only one experiencing this skin issue. So apparently certain ingredient in this product will cause slow breakouts and spots on the skin. Of course after that, I stopped using this foundation, and in fact, I did notice that my skin starts to clear up. Is this my imagination or something?? Hahaha

How much is it?

I bought this foundation in Sydney Priceline for 40% off, which costs 18 dollars. The original price is quite high compared to other drugstore foundations. But it is definitely worth to buy during sales.

This is a very long wearing foundation. Sometimes I will wear this for over 12 hours and it will still be on my face. It may not look as fresh as it first applied, but I mean, that’s still pretty good for a drugstore foundation  How is the coverage? This foundation gives medium to full buildable coverage and it does not have a cakey and mask look.  Nice Packaging? Yes, the packaging is beautiful. It is a squeeze plastic tube (no pumps) which can be quite messy after many uses.

Easily Bendable?

Yes, it blends really easily with my trusty beauty blender  Will I repurchase this foundation? Nah, maybe not. Like always, thanks for reading!!

Dior Airflash Foundation Review

10062210

Summary:

~ light to medium buildable coverage

~ airbrushed finish

~ natural and skin like

~ long wearing

~ does not emphasize fine lines

~ very pricey

How it react to my annoying skin?

This product did not have any claim on oil controlling, but somehow it kept my oily T- zone looking decent for the whole day. I have worn this foundation to sport days (from 10am to 7pm), and surprisingly it did not melt off from my face.

On my dry cheeks, this foundation did not emphasise my fine lines. However, I did notice by the end of the day that it started to cling to my dry patches. It didn’t look bad from far, so it was not much of a big problem to me.

My skin is very sensitive, but this foundation did not break me out or react badly to my skin, which is always a big plus to me. Overall, this foundation sits nicely on my skin and performed a great job in keeping my skin looking fresh and natural all day.

How much is it?

I bought this foundation from Sydney Myer, which costs 94 dollars. This is probably one of the most expensive foundations I’ve owned.

Does it run out quickly?

Yes!! I don’t know what is wrong with this foundation, but it ran out super quickly. I am a foundation junkie and I own many foundations. I’ve never finished any one of my bottles… apart from this one. Considering how expensive this foundation was, I was really shocked that it finished this quickly. I am 100% sure that I did not use it very often (maybe once or twice a week), and I did not use huge amounts of product. But it finished within the first two or three months!! I was actually breaking down inside because I’ve spent NINTY- FOUR DOLLARSSSSS ON ITTT!!!! 😦

How is the longevity of this foundation?

This is a pretty long wearing foundation. I’ve worn this to sports, and I sweat heaps! This foundation managed to stay nicely on my face during sport, and looked perfectly fine after me sweating like crazy.

How is the coverage?

This foundation gives a light to medium coverage. It is easily buildable, and will not look cakey at all.  Nice Packaging? Yes, the packaging is beautiful. Very luxuries looking (OFC BECAUSE I PAID SO MUCH FOR IT), and has a pump!

Easily Bendable?

Yes, it blends like a dream with my real techniques face brush. I normally would spray some foundation onto the brush, and then buff it into my skin in circling motions. Or I would just spray directly on my face, and then buff it in with a brush.

Will I repurchase this foundation?

I am actually not sure…. I am still thinking about whether I should repurchase it. I’ve been reading reviews online, and a lot of people say that the Sephora perfection mist airbrush foundation is a dupe with this Dior one. However, unfortunately, the Sephora one is not sold in Australia. Please tell me in the comment section if you own the Sephora foundation, and tell me if you like it or not.

Like always, thanks for reading!!  ❤

Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation Review

master_allnighter_alt1

Summary:

~ Full coverage

~ Looks cakey

~ Long wearing

~ Emphasise on dry patches

~ Not very oil-controlling

~ Oxidises

How it react to my annoying skin?

This product claims to mattify and absorb oil on the skin. I personally think that this foundation did not perform its job well. I wore this foundation for one week. I put it on at 10am in the morning and wore it till 9pm (11 hours). Throughout the day, I realised that my T- zone area was secreting a lot of oil. I had to blot my face in the 5 hours mark. I was quite disappointed because even some drugstore foundation performs better than this expensive one.

At the end of the day, I looked into the mirror and saw a hot mess! My cheeks area were flaky, my T-zone was shiny, and my face just looked caked up and unnatural.

Also, I need to mention that this foundation does oxidise one to two shades darker. But this wasn’t the main issue I was unhappy with

But on the bright side, this foundation did not break me out or reacted badly with my skin.

Overall, I did not like how this foundation sat on my skin. It was way too cakey for my liking. Also, it did not control oil properly on my oily areas.

 How much is it?

I bought this foundation in Sydney Mecca, which cost 65 dollars.

How is the longevity of this foundation?

Although I had issues with how it looked and performed on my skin, this foundation still stayed put on my skin after 11 hours of wear. So I would say that this foundation is truly long wearing.

 How is the coverage?

This foundation gives a really full coverage. A little bit does go a long way. I can cover my entire face with only half a pump. Even with half a pump, there were always excess on the back of my hand.

Nice Packaging?

Yes, the packaging is beautiful. It is a very sleek and clean looking bottle that comes with a pump!

Easily Bendable?

Yes, it does blend easily with my beauty blender.

Will I repurchase this foundation?

No, I will not. Actually, I’ve already returned this foundation because I don’t think this foundation suits me. I’ve read many reviews online, saying that this foundation is their holy grail. Unfortunately, it did not work for me.
